work for [r]amp fesitval (2019)
This piece was written for performance at [r]amp Festival, a 2019 event featuring local musicians tasked with treating the parking ramp as a co-collaborator. Vibrating toothbrushes and milk frothers are held against metal or clay objects, melodies are played, chords are built. Choice of melodies and chord pitches are entirely up to the performers.
The performance at the [r]amp festival included Justin Comer on saxophone, Alex Spenceri on euphonium, Carlos Cotallo Solares on violin, Vero Rose Smith on french horn, and Christine Burke on clarinet.
The [r]amp reprise performance (at Trumpet Blossom during an iHearIC show) included Justin Comer on saxophone, Keegan Hockett on bassoon, Laura Canelo Cohen on flute, Christine Burke on clarinet, Vero Rose Smith on french horn, and Will Yager on bass.
